Binghamton Figure Skating Club (BFSC) is a nonprofit figure skating club based in Binghamton, New York. We are committed to being transparent about the personal information we collect from members and visitors, and to handling it responsibly.
What information we collect
When you create an account or register for BFSC membership, we collect:
- Your name, email address, and phone number
- Skater information including name, date of birth, and U.S. Figure Skating membership number where applicable
- Emergency contact name and phone number
- Parent or guardian information for skaters under 18
When you make a purchase, payment is processed by PayPal. We do not receive or store your credit card or bank account details. PayPal may retain payment data according to their own privacy policy.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- Maintain your BFSC membership record for the current season
- Schedule and track your purchased ice access sessions
- Send you order confirmations, membership notices, and club communications
- Support the club’s internal administrative and officer functions
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Who we share your information with
Your information may be shared with:
- PayPal — to process payments, governed by PayPal’s Privacy Policy
- Our email delivery service — to send transactional and administrative messages
- BFSC officers and coaches — within the club’s internal administrative system, on a need-to-know basis
How long we keep your information
We retain your personal information for as long as your membership is active and for a reasonable period afterward to support administrative continuity. You may request deletion of your information at any time (see below).
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Request corrections to inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information
