Applies to all ice package and day pass purchases made through the BFSC online store, including Walk-On products.
1. Cancellations and Refunds
Standard cancellation window:
Cancellation requests submitted more than 48 hours before the first session date in the package will receive a full refund, minus any non-refundable PayPal transaction fees (see Section 5).
Late cancellations:
Cancellation requests submitted 48 hours or less before the first session date are not eligible for a refund.
No partial returns:
Ice packages are sold as complete units. Once purchased, individual sessions within a package cannot be returned or refunded separately, and no prorated refunds will be issued for partially-used packages.
2. Medical and Emergency Exceptions
Refund requests based on a medical situation or personal emergency are reviewed by the club President and Vice President on a case-by-case basis.
- Approved requests will be issued as either a monetary refund (PayPal) or store credit, at the member’s choice.
- Requests should be submitted in writing to the club President or Vice President.
- The PayPal transaction fee deduction (Section 5) applies to monetary refunds approved under this exception.
3. Missed Sessions
Missed sessions due to competitions:
No refund or credit is issued for sessions missed because a skater is attending a competition. Competition schedules are known in advance and do not constitute an emergency.
Other voluntary absences:
No refund or credit is issued for sessions missed for any other voluntary reason (illness that does not meet the medical exception threshold, scheduling conflicts, etc.).
4. Rink Cancellations
If BFSC cancels a session due to a rink closure, facility issue, or other circumstance outside the member’s control, the value of the cancelled session will be applied to the member’s account as store credit.
- Store credit is applied automatically to your BFSC website account.
- Store credit can be used toward any future purchase in the BFSC online store.
- Monetary (PayPal) refunds are not issued for rink-cancelled sessions.
5. PayPal Transaction Fees
PayPal transaction fees charged on the original purchase are non-refundable in all cases, regardless of when or why a refund is issued.
- Current PayPal fee: 2.04% of the transaction total + $0.49 fixed fee.
- Exception: If PayPal did not charge a fee on the original transaction, no fee deduction will be made from the refund amount.
Refunds issued as store credit are not subject to any fee deduction.
6. How to Request a Refund or Report a Rink Cancellation
To request a cancellation or refund, or to report a problem with a session credit, contact the BFSC Treasurer at skatebingtreas@gmail.com.
Please include your order number and the reason for the request.
