Coaches
One of the greatest benefits of joining the Binghamton Figure Skating club is the ability to take private lessons with our team of highly qualified coaches. Since private lessons occur during club ice, you must be a member of the club to enjoy private lessons. (If you prefer group lessons, please see our Learn to Skate USA page.)
If you are interested in private lessons, you must make arrangements with a coach yourself (the club will not assign you to a coach). Hourly rates for private lessons vary from coach to coach. See below to learn more about our coaches.
Please note: Coaches' schedules fill up quickly, so be sure to contact a coach early in the season!

Russell Green
Russell has over 25 years of experience in ice dance instruction with skating clubs in the Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and Albany areas. Russell has coached all levels of ice dancing, from beginning skaters through international testers. He has taught and partnered over 50 skaters to their Gold Dance medals and numerous skaters through Canadian and International Dances. During his skating career, Russell competed nationally and internationally. He twice became British Junior National Ice Dance Champion, earned 6th place at the British Senior National Championships and 4th place at the Junior World Championships. He also competed in Canada, China, France, Germany and Switzerland. Russell is available by prior arrangement to coach students interested in testing at all levels and ages, including adults.

Megan Hickling
Currently living in Broome County, with a degree in childhood education from SUNY Cortland, Megan has been a part of figure skating for the last 24 years and coaching for the last 14 years. She has completed her Senior Moves in the Field, Junior Freestyle, and Pre-Gold Dance test levels. She has coached skaters through Senior Moves and Intermediate Freestyle and competitions such as Empire State Games and State Games of America as well as many other local competitions. Megan's specialties are in moves in the field and freestyle.

Darby Kasper
Darby has several years of experience as a Learn to Skate USA instructor and figure skating coach. She coaches private lessons with students of various ages and levels in the USFS and ISI programs. She has participated in many competitions over the past 10 years and is a winner of the ISI Worlds National Team Sportsmanship Award. Darby is skilled in ice dance, moves in the field, and freestyle. She is currently a student at Penn State so she will only be available to give lessons when she is in Binghamton.

Isadora Park
Isadora has completed her senior moves in the field and the senior supplemental moves in the field, passed through her international dances and completed her intermediate freestyle. She also joined the Genesee Express synchronized skating team and won at the Eastern Synchronized Skating Sectional Championship and the Empire State Games both in 2010. She also has competed in several ISI competitions including ISI Worlds in Boston, showcase being her favorite event. Isadora started coaching at 16 years old in the Chemung county area, helping with her hometown Learn to Skate program, along with giving private lessons. Five years later, she graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh, with a bachelor's in biology and still continues to help with Learn to Skate USA, as well as give private lessons. Teaching others and sharing the joys that skating brings is a true passion of hers.

Sarah Park
Sarah has been a USFS and ISI coach for more than 10 years. She strives to make skating a fun and safe activity for all of her students. Her specialties include Choreography, Moves in the Field, Freestyle, Synchronized, Showcase, Rhythmic Ribbon, Ball and Hoop, and Theater on Ice. Sarah is also the Binghamton Figure Skating Club's Test Chair.

Anna Pugachenok
Anna seeks to help her students maximize their potential and reach goals in moves in the field, freestyle, and choreography. She has participated in many competitions and exhibitions and volunteered with the Learn to Skate USA program. Anna is currently a student at Binghamton University.
Jeff and Stacy Petri
Jeff and Stacy Petri are well-known coaches in the Cortland and Ithaca areas who will occasionally come to teach on BFSC ice club sessions. Many of our skaters already take lessons from them in Cortland and Ithaca, and we are very glad to welcome them to our coaching staff.
